Google employee jab at Yahoo in Spec
While reading the specification for Web Applications 1.0, written by an individual that works for Google, Mr. Ian Hickson, I came across an interesting little jab that he put into the spec to poke a little fun at Google’s rival, Yahoo.
If you look at the Remote Events section, it describes an example of the stock price for Yahoo, with the data fields of data: -2 and data: 10. If you look at the code that interprets that data, the -2 is the field for the delta in the stock price and the 10 is the current price.
Not only has the price dropped approximately 12% in value, the example has undervalued Yahoo stock by 68%, (it is 31.91 at the time of this writing).
