Media Technical Boo Boo’s: 24 [TV]
Miles, one of the techies on the show, is conversing with Chloe, another analyst. A screenful of Russian characters is streaming onto his screen.
Chloe: “What’s that?”
Miles: “ASCII Code.”
Chloe: “It is?”
Miles: “Yeah in Russian.”
Now, maybe I don’t know the intricacies of ASCII Code, but as far as I’m aware, ASCII only includes the following characters:
A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and various punctuation. Not Russian symbols.
Maybe I should be an analyst for 24, at least then they wouldn’t spout BLATANTLY OBVIOUS technical errors. The emphasis should be interpreted as sarcastic.
