May is No TV Month

Not officially. But for the entire Month of May I am going to attempt to not watch a single over-the-air or cable television show. These are my rules, and they are binding to me and me alone. I will also attempt to have the conviction to ban myself from internet television, and I certainly don’t have the willpower to stop watching movies. But for this month (starting 15 minutes ago), I will not watch television. My cable box is now unplugged and I plan to take it back in the next couple of days. Just for my benefit, so that I fully understand what I’m getting into, here is what I will miss:

The season finales of Lost, Heroes, and 24. South Park… The Office… The Daily Show and The Colbert Report…. The English Premiership League season end… Champions League matches… God help me (not a show, just an exclamation)

I’ll post here with semi-daily updates on my progress, and what I’m using to keep busy as a replacement for the sweet entertainment tube that streamed delicious comfort into my frontal lobe. I have the utmost confidence that I will fail miserably. Enter me into the pool for 13 days.

(No, I don’t currently have a movie mail rental program either)
