It’s difficult to find people and companies on #Mastodon. We need more than tools that map Twitter accounts to Mastodon accounts—especially long term.
Maybe—a directory that:
– Lets us search for names or URLs (someone’s homepage, blog etc.).
– Returns Mastodon account names.The directory should verify URLs itself and show which URLs are verified in its search result.
It could crawl accounts (with opt-in or opt-out via hashtags in profiles) or accept submissions.
