I’m excited to see more complete support for Open Type Font Features landing in browsers.

Safari 16.2 added function values for font-variant-alternates: annotation(), character-variant(), ornaments(), styleset(), stylistic(), swash(), along with the associated @font-feature-values at-rules.

Chrome is currently working on overall support for font-variant-alternates.

Here’s a great demo of what this makes possible — the visual differences in fonts: roettsch.es/montecarlo.html

With and without.
